This season focused heavily on Rue's story, but it also strongly featured Cassie as she continued on a downward spiral of low self-worth and seeking male validation. Cassie may currently be a controversial character, but in her high points and low points, she has had some relatable, funny, ironic, and iconic lines.

Wishful Thinking

"I Think I'm Going To Do Everything In My Power For At Least, Like, The Next Three years, Not To Fall In Love."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (1)

This line is especially good because it goes directly against her personalityand foreshadows her next season. Viewers learn from Rue in the very first few episodes of the show that Cassie has fallen in love with every guy she has ever dated. It is just in her nature to fall fast and hard for whoever she has her sights set on.

This idea comes to fruition when she begins hooking up with Nate for all of a few weeks before declaring that she loves him and he loves her. Cassie's idea of love is so warped that she confuses infatuation and obsession for love all the time, which is why the idea of her not falling in "love" for three years would never work.

The Undiscussed Parts Of Love

"I Feel Like Love Is Super Dark And No One Ever Talks About It."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (2)

In the previous quote, Cassie seemed naive about love, but this line shows a deeper understanding on her part, so much so that it is one of the best-ranked quotes of the show. Ironically enough, Cassie is saying this in observation of Maddy and Nate's relationship. She lightly brings up McKay, but the "darkness" of her relationship with McKay is nothing compared to Nate.

Sadly, she does not even really know the extent of Maddy and Nate's relationship, and she still thinks they are toxic. Lexi says their "kind" of love is dark, and then Cassie answers with, "and my kind." She is practically prophesizing her own future relationship with Nate at this point.

Experience

"I'm The One Who Takes Risks. I'm The One Who Falls In Love. I'm The One Who Gets Hurt, Not You, Lexi! You've Never Even F***ing Lived!"

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (3)

Lexi's play had some amazing scenes, but the real drama started when a recently-dumped Cassie stomped her way onto the stage to try and put an end to the show. The dynamic between the two sisters really showed in those episodes, from Lexi's perception of Cassie to Cassie's reaction to her scenes.

Cassie is a serial monogamist, and being wanted and loved is the only way she measures success in her life. So, to her, she has lived a million more lifetimes than Lexi, for whom relationships and being wanted are not nearly as important as her interests and future. This quote reveals a lot about the inner workings of Cassie's mind and her sad values system.

Vision For Herself

"We Should Just Pick The Hottest, Most Confident, Bad B**** Version Of Ourselves, And Be That For The Rest Of The School Year."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (4)

This quote happens during one of Maddy and Cassie's strongest scenes in the first season of the show and highlights the support that they have for each other when they are not being influenced by the men in their lives. This was exactly the advice that Maddy needed to hear and ultimately ended up taking.

Cassie, however, did not quite take her own advice. At the end of season 2, she had told Nate that he could control what she wears, what she eats, and who she hangs out with, only to have him callously dump her over Lexi's play. Cassie truly needs to tap into her bad b**** energy and listen to her own advice.

A Relatable Line

"I Don't Know If I'm A Good Person."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (5)

This is one of the most relatable lines of Cassie's dialogue. Many people struggle daily with their thoughts and decisions and worry that they are bad people because of them. Cassie is no different than anybody else. She is a young, impressionable teenage girl whose desire to be loved sometimes outweighs her other relationships in life.

When delivering this line to McKay, Cassie had just heartbreakingly hid in a bathtub from her best friend, whose ex she was hooking up with. She is at her absolute lowest point and is faced with not one, but two people that she feels like she wronged, and it is just too much for her to take.

Cassie's Defense

"You Two Were Broken Up For Three Weeks And Three Days Before We Even Had Sex, So I Didn't Betray You! ...You Guys Can All Judge Me If You Want, But I Have Never, EVER Been Happier!"

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (6)

Cassie's speech has gone down inEuphoriahistory as one of the most iconic clips of the show. So much so, that it was used in almost all of the promos for the show leading up to that episode. Cassie's psyche is trulychanged at this point, and she has rationalized her actions to be able to accept herself despite them.

The fact that she had the exact count down to the day of how long Nate and Maddy had been broken up shows just how obsessively she had been thinking about it. This is a very important quote for her character and delving into Cassie's headspace during this time in her life. The most powerful part about it was that it was imaginary, and she was just staring into the mirror and self-soothing instead.

Leaving

"Okay. Bye."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (7)

One of the most powerful things a person can do is be eerily calm when someone is screaming at them during a fight. Cassie may have a reputation for not standing up for herself, but she truly stood her groundduring this moment with Nate. Nate had done a lot of horrible things to people and had not changed, as viewers saw when he started raging at Cassie and asking her what was wrong with her as they fought.

There is a thin line, however, with standing up to someone like Nate. Cassie was lucky and got the reaction she was hoping for, which was Nate's apologetic attitude and him telling her he loved her. Maddy, on the other hand, has stood her ground with Nate in the past and was assaulted because of it.

Attempt At Encouragement

"You Don't Have To. Just...Take One Day At A Time!"

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (8)

In the throes of addiction, Rue did not have loyalty to anyone but herself. That is why she sat on the knowledge of Cassie and Nate's link-ups until it benefitted her to reveal it, but there was something fantastic about Cassie's good-hearted attempt to boost Rue's morale leading to complete and utter chaos.

Cassie was trying her best to encourage Rue, no matter how cheesy it may have sounded, but it was the last thing Rue wanted to hear in that moment. This also was a great moment for Sydney Sweeney acting-wise, because the immediate shift from cheery optimism to absolute terror was palpable in that scene, and it is a moment fans could not get enough of.

The Sad Truth

"I Ruined My Entire Life For You."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (9)

There are certain quotes onEuphoria that capture a character's personality, and this one captures Cassie's at this point in her life. There is nothing she is not willing to do to get the validation and satisfaction of male attention, specifically one that she is convinced she loves.

Cassie dives headfirst into her romantic relationships, and she does not care how many bridges she burns, as long as she feels like she has won the love and devotion of a man, and this quote perfectly encapsulates that feeling.

Embracing The Perception

"Okay. Well, If That Makes Me A Villain, Then So F***ing Be It. I Can Play The F***ing Villain."

Euphoria: Cassie Howard’s Best Quotes (10)

Cassie is someone who forms her personality and character around others. When she first became friends with Maddy, as viewers saw in Lexi's play, she basked in the glow of Maddy and her confidence. In a way, Cassie almost modeled herself after the way that she thought Maddy was.

Furthermore, she has altered her personality with the guys that she has dated, as well. Her sense of self is skewed. So, when life has put her in a position to be cast as a villain in public opinion, she embraces it and the attention that comes with it.
