How to get photos approved on Shutterstock? ›

All images must be at least 4 MP (megapixels) or larger and set at highest quality settings to produce an acceptable file dimension for submission to Shutterstock. The maximum file size you can upload using your web browser is: 50 MB for photos, 100 MB for EPS.

Image Format and Size

If your photos are in a different format, they will get rejected. So, it's advisable to ensure all your images are either in JPG or PNG before uploading. In terms of size, Google has some specific recommendations. The minimum resolution for photos should be 720 pixels wide by 720 pixels high.

All of Shutterstock's licenses are royalty-free, so you can use the images without time restrictions. If you're not a professional photographer and don't have one on staff, you've likely found yourself in need of a stock photo on occasion.
